MONETTE ANDERSON WELLING
FIELDING, UT. Sunday, July 5, 2015, Monette Anderson Welling, 79, joined her eternal sweetheart, Clifford Ronald Welling and parents: Virgil Leon and Virginia Fern Cornwall Anderson in a sweet reunion. Monette was born October 25, l935, Her marriage to Ron was sealed in the Logan LDS Temple March 15, 1957. They were married 54 years before Ron passed away November 3, 2011.
Monette served as Relief Society President, Young Women’s President, and taught Primary, Young Women’s, Relief Society, and Gospel Doctrine classes. She loved the gospel, enjoyed studying the scriptures, and liked to discuss what she learned through this study with others. Their opinion and information were important to her. The highlight in her life was serving with her husband on an LDS mission in the Los Angles Temple Visitor's Center. Together they served ten wonderful years as officiators in the Logan LDS Temple.
As a young girl, her interest was always attending church, working with her parents, playing softball, ice skating, basketball, and doing fun things with her friends.
She loved her home, working outside, sewing, crochet, genealogy, watching basketball, and especially fishing and camping. Most precious to her were her daughters, their spouses, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Always in her heart, was a concern for her family and their welfare.
Survivors include: four daughters and spouses, Metzie Welling Jensen of Fielding, Jill and Kenneth Howard of Garland, Paula and P. W. Tucker of West Point, Ronna and Gordon Tidwell of West Haven; two sisters: Donna Mae Summers of Ogden, Pam Smith of Malad, Idaho; two brothers: Curtis Anderson of Delta and Reese Anderson of Bothwell; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren with twins on the way.
The family wishes to express a sincere appreciation to the Fielding Relief Society sisters for all of their delicious meals, Dr. Chad Merrell for his kindness towards our mother, and Intermountain Hospice nurse, Russell, for his special touch in taking care of our mother.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fielding LDS Ward Chapel (4375 W. 15600 N. Fielding). Friends may call on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 North 100 East, Tremonton) and prior to the funeral at the church from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment will be at the Fielding Cemetery.
