RIVERSIDE -- Nadine Ballard Richards, 88, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, August 13, 2010. She was born December 16, 1921 in Logan, Utah the daughter of Melvin J. Ballard and Audria Munk Ballard. She married Myron M. Richards on June 2, 1943 in the Logan LDS Temple. She was an active member of the Belmont Second Ward and served faithfully in various callings throughout her life. Nadine was raised in Benson, Utah and enjoyed sharing her many cherished childhood memories. She graduated from North Cache High School and from Utah State University with a degree in education. She taught home economics in Hot Springs, South Dakota and Wellsville, Utah while her husband was serving in World War II. After the war, she moved to Riverside, Utah and began her life as a dedicated wife and mother. She is survived by two sons, Craig (Doc) and Mark (Jeanine), and one daughter, Coye, all of Riverside; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters Donna Ham, Caputa, South Dakota and Ruth Dance, Logan, Utah; and one brother Landell Ballard of Bensen, Utah. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Myron M.; and a son Jeff and a daughter Jeanine. Funeral services will be held at the Belmont Second Ward church Tuesday, August 17 at 11:00 a.m. Friends and family may call on Monday, August 16 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Rudd Funeral Home, 1234 South Main Street, Garland, Utah and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:40 a.m. at the Belmont Second Ward church 16925 North 5200 West in Riverside. Internment will be at the Riverside Cemetery, Riverside, Utah.
