Norma Hall Coombs, a beacon of service and strength, peacefully passed away on May 27, 2024, at the age of 91. Born on May 12, 1933, to Harold Ephraim Hall and Vera LaVon Gibbs, Norma's life was a testament to hard work and devotion. She married her high school sweetheart, Theo (Skeeter) Steven Coombs, on October 19, 1951, in the Logan Utah Temple, and together they built a legacy of faith that spanned generations.
As a mother to Michael, Cami, Jami, and Curtis, Norma was a guiding force, celebrating her children’s victories and encouraging their talents. Each of Norma’s grandchildren and great grandchildren were touched by her love and energy.
Norma found joy in creating beauty through gardening, decorating, sewing, and entertaining. Her faith in Jesus Christ was unwavering, leading her and her husband to serve three missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Rochester, New York; Cebu, Philippines; and Raleigh, North Carolina. Norma's dedication to the Savior (plus her organizational skills) touched countless lives as she embodied principles of compassion and selflessness.
Her spirit of love and her tireless commitment to others will be dearly missed but forever remembered. To honor her memory, a celebration of Norma's life will be held on Saturday, June 15, at 11:00 am (viewing for family and friends at 9:30) at the Tremonton Utah Stake Center (660 N. 300 E., Tremonton). Norma's legacy of love, energy, and service will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. The service will be livestreamed and may be accessed below.
Norma is survived by her husband Skeeter, her children Michael, Cami (Craig), Jami (David), Curtis (Wendi), 12 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; her beloved sister Nadine Woodhead and brother-in-law Daryl Garn.
The Coombs family is deeply grateful to Birch Creek Assisted Living and Aegis Hospice for the exceptional care they gave to Norma.
