Ora Lewis

Ora Letha Roche Lewis, 92, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Our House Care Center in Tremonton, Utah. She was born in Thatcher, Utah on January 1, 1921. She was the daughter of Alan Everard and Alice Erma (Anderson) Roche.
On April 9, 1940 Ora married Vaughn R. Lewis in the Logan LDS Temple. She lived in Garland, Utah and Thatcher, Utah.
As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints she served 35 years in primary. She also served in the Relief Society Presidency. Ora enjoyed gardening, ceramics and crocheting. She also loved raising animals and babysitting grandchildren.
Ora is preceded in death by her husband, parents and siblings Vern Alan Roche; Douglas Everard Roche; Phyllis Ethel Valentine; Juanita Mary Evans; Blanche Pledger; Marjorie Leah Peters; Ruth Melba Steed; Diana Jean Barnes; and Franklin Deloy Roche.
She is survived by her children Letha LaVon DiCaro (Al) Helper, UT; Gloria Gay Burton (Darwin) Stockton, CA; Del Ray Lewis (Eileen) Fruit Heights, UT; Farrel Lewis (Beckie) Kaysville, UT; Val Dee Lewis (Cynthia) Bothwell, UT; Lanny V. Lewis (Arlene) Thatcher, UT and siblings Miton Leon Roche; Janice Rosalyn Chournos; Colleen Marie Newman; Connie Alice Fridal; and Vicky Rae Archibald. Ora is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 47 Great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
The family would like to express their deep appreciation to staff of Our House Assisted Living Center and those devoted Hospice workers that so lovingly helped her through these last trying days of her life, they are truly angels that walk among us.
Funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Thatcher, UT (11475 W 10400 N) at 12:00 p.m. Noon on Monday, April 29, 2013. A viewing will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and previous to the funeral from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Thatcher church.
