Rae Peterson

Rae Garn Peterson (99) passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 in Fielding, Utah. She was born on August 6, 1919 in Fielding, Utah to Wesley J. and Florence Doman Garn.

She was married to Parley R. Peterson (P. R. Peterson) on October 1, 1935. He passed away on March 14, 1995.

Rae has lived in Fielding and Brigham City throughout her life. She worked at City Drug during the war, was a homemaker, and spent time working at Jack and Pat Radio Shop.

She loved to paint, make many quilts, crochet, bake cookies, and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. She loved her grandkids, great-grandkids, and great-great-grandkids.

Rae served in many positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints including; Relief Society President, Librarian, MIA Presidency, Primary Presidency, Old English Extraction, and as an Ordinance Worker in the Logan Temple.

She is survived by her children, Linda Rae (Wayne) Aoki, LeAnn (Michael) Baird, Jack Wesley (Vicky) Peterson; 11 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren with two more on the way, and her three sisters, Beth Burnett, Jean Nye, and Dayle Stimpson.

Rae is preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother, Jack; one sister, Carol Hess, and two sisters who died in infancy; two granddaughters, Lori Rae and Katyann Lewis; and four brothers-in-law, Ernest Burnett, Fred Nye, Vern Hess, and Ron Stimpson.

Services will be held on Monday, December 31, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Fielding Stake Center (4375 W. 15600 N. Fielding) with a viewing held prior from 9-10:30 a.m.
