Renée Pearson, 94, passed away on November 14th at the home of her daughter in Tremonton, UT, in the presence of those that she loved. Renée was born October 3, 1928 in Lewiston, UT to Verna Wilson and Horace Edward Bowles. She was the only girl of four children, and adored her brothers, Wendall (Connie), Donald (Shelley), and Earl, the three of which she was always mothering. She graduated from North Cache High School.
She married Robert Marion Greenlee Jr. and from this union came three children. They later divorced and she married Daniel ‘Dutch’ Martin. Dutch was a loving father to her three children, who loved and respected him as their own. Dutch passed away in May of 1982. In February of 2000, she met and married Thomas ‘Tom’ Pearson, who passed away in 2017.
Renée was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served, among other callings, as Relief Society President and as a Counselor in the Presidency.
She retired from Hiller Industries at the age of 82, her last job of many, which notably included welding beds during the Vietnam war, traveling across the states to sell magazines, serving Salt Lake patrons at the Hotel Utah Coffee Shop, and managing apartment complexes.
Renée was a strong and loving presence in the lives of many. Her sense of humor and her easy disposition made her the ideal partner for a friendly game or a lively conversation. Her compassion for others was clear in everything that she did.
She is survived by her children, Terri (Jim) Holmgren, Todd (Susan) Greenlee, Boyd (Carla deceased) Greenlee, 4 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 9 step great grandchildren, and one step great great grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and their spouses, and three husbands.
