Rhea (Rae) Nielson passed away on February 12, 2012 after a very long, courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis , surrounded by her loving family and friends. She graduated from Bear River High School and attended art classes in New York. On May 3, 1957 she married Claude Edwin Aven. They were later divorced. She married the love of her life, Lyle F. In her early years, she loved to travel, camp, go on trips to Wendover and deeply loved her friends and family. Rae was a strong, independent woman who did not mince words; you always knew where you stood with her. She had a lot of compassion for her family and friends who loved her dearly in return. We will miss her funny and sometimes wicked sense of humor and the unique person that she was. Her infectious laugh will never be forgotten. She was a member of the LDS church. When you see a rainbow, remember her as she promised Darlene she’d build her one. She is survived by her devoted brother Donald (Joy) Anderson of Bountiful, UT and her beloved children Bobbie (Marlin) Allen of Portage, UT; Michael (Patti) Aven of Uintah Highlands and Linda (Don) Lindsay of West Haven, UT; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
