Rhea Wise
March 31, 1933 — May 26, 2016
On the 26 day of May, Rhea Wise passed from this life to join the beloved family members who went ahead. Rhea was born March 31, 1933 at the home of her grandmother Wise in Garland Utah. Rhea was the daughter of Ellen Lavisa Butler and Lawrence Minion Wise.
Rhea attended school in Garland, Ogden and Jerome Idaho, graduating from Bear River High School. Rhea married in 1951 and five children were born of that union: Nancy (Jay) Johnson, Margaret (Lynn) Butterfield, Byron (Tina) Barker, Jeri Parsons and Sandra (Randy) Jensen.
Rhea was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and received joy from teaching young women, primary children and organizing and cooking meals for church social gatherings. She worked in many areas of local employment and retired from Thiokol Chemical Corporation.
Rhea was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Mark Lawrence and Oral Butler Wise, she is survived by her children, 23 grandchildren 55 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Friday evening, June 3, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at Rudd Funeral Home (1234 S. Main St. Garland, UT). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Garland Cemetery.
