Robert Edward Gardner (91) a loving husband, father, grandpa, great grandpa, great-great grandpa, brother, and uncle passed away on Friday, January 24 at his home in Deweyville, Utah.
He was born July 2, 1933, to Milo Dewey and Nellie Irene Knowles Gardner in Deweyville.
Bob married Mary Anne Goodey on June 18, 1960, in the Logan temple. Bob attended Deweyville elementary school and graduated from Bear River High School in 1952. They have four children: Bart (Debbie-deceased) of Carlsbad, New Mexico, Kevin of Deweyville, Lori (Troy) Riser of Deweyville, and Ryan (Sue) Gardner of Tremonton. He has 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. He had a great sense of humor.
Bob retired from Hill Air Force Base after 30 years. One year later after retirement Bob worked for Walmart for 13 years and took care of the Deweyville Cemetery for 12 years.
He loved watching westerns, irrigating and mowing his lawn, and farming. He enjoyed his trips to Walmart, the DI, and Wendy’s with grandson Jared and son Kevin.
Bob was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many callings including Sunday School President and a member of the Bishopric. He also worked as a temple worker with his wife for six years at the Logan Utah Temple.
He served in the Korean War from 1952-1954.
Bob is preceded in death by his wife, his parents, his brother Merwyn, two sisters Lynette Macfarlane and Ina Elizabeth Pett and daughter-in-law Debbie Gardner.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Noon. Viewings will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 6-7:30 P.M. and prior to the service from 10:30-11:30 A.M. All services will be held at the Deweyville LDS Church (10750 N 3000 W- Deweyville). Interment will take place in Deweyville Cemetery.
