Robert “Robbie” Anthony Thompson 15, drowned in the Yellowstone River on June 24, 2012 in Billings, Montana. He was born on July 23, 1996 in Brigham City, UT. His parents are Reid and Julia Zundel Lott (Step Father & Mother) and Dale (Hobbit) Thompson (Father). Robbie lived in Willard, Tremonton & Nampa, ID. He recently finished his sophomore year of high school at Bear River High School. While in school he received many awards and honors some of those include the Presidential Academic Achievement Award, he also set many engineering records and was a 1st place winner of the pinewood derby. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Robbie was also a part owner of the company Bob’s Baits. Robbie is survived by his parents, half brother, Christopher Gailey, sister, Emmalee Thompson, three step sisters, Melissa (Jason) Peavler, Amber (Jeremy) Wyatt, Sarah (Jared) Jeppsen, grandfathers, Gene Arden Thompson, Robert William Zundel, Richard Patrick Trudeau, N. Blaine Lott and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Robbie was preceded in death by his uncles Robert Anthony Zundel and Stephen Stoneburner, and his grandmothers, Nellie Margaret Trudeau and Sherlene Bowcutt Lott. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Billings Sheriffs Dept. Search and Rescue, Billings LDS Stake and the kind people of Billings KOA campground. Also a very heartfelt thank you to Bonnie Erickson and her family for staying with Robbie until he was recovered after finding him and to Sarah Lavey and her family for keeping some hope alive in our hearts. There will be a viewing previous to the funeral at the church from 9-10:30 am. Funeral services for Robbie will be held Thursday July 12, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Willard 1st ward LDS Chapel (80 N 100 W Willard, UT). Interment will be at the Willard Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to immediate family of Robbie for funeral and travel expenses.
