Rodney B. Jensen

Rodney B. Jensen, age 57, passed away peacefully at his home on August 3, 2024, in Elwood, after a hard battle with brain cancer. Rod was born December 28, 1966, to Kenneth C. Jensen ad Rosalie B. Jensen, in Rexburg, Idaho. The family lived in Idaho Falls for four years, then moved to Tremonton, where he was raised and eventually attended Bear River High.

Rod married Joleen Stodard, they later divorced.

He worked at Autoliv for a number of years. His last and favorite job of all was working for Shawn Francis Trucking. There was never a day that he complained about that job. He had the BEST boss and coworkers a guy could ask for, and he truly enjoyed every day!

Rod loved his dog Nikki, his Harley Davidson, NASCAR and any Earnhardt driver, his family, his co-workers and friends. He was a friend to all, the life of the party, and had a knack for making people feel welcome. He was a silent doer of good, and never boasted about his good deeds, but many have commented on his acts of kindness towards them.

He is survived by his mother, Rosalie B. Jensen, his brother Shawn (Jana) Jensen, his sisters Pam (Greg) Payne, Selina (Eric) Thomas, and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Jensen, brother Jeff Jensen, nephew Kelly Barfuss, and sister-in-law Cindy Wood Jensen.

Special thanks to Symbii Home Health & Hospice, especially Brianna, Jon, Royella, Devery, and Dawn. The kindness and compassion shown to Rod and our mother is greatly appreciated! To our mother… The giant rock of our family, who has held it together and taken care of Rod for the last five months – there has to be a special place in heaven for you! And Shawn for taking care of mom and Rod, the sleepless days and nights, errand running, etc., that goes for you as well! Thank you to the many family and friends and neighbors/strangers who have dropped everything to come on a moment’s notice to lend a hand or just to visit! Thank you!!

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Noon. Viewings will be on Friday, August 9, 2024, from 7-9 P.M. and prior to the service from 10:30-11:30 A.M. All services will be held at Rudd Funeral Home- Tremonton (111 N 100 E- Tremonton). Interment will follow the service at the Plymouth Cemetery.
