Ronald Dennis

September 12, 1932 — August 3, 2012

Dad passed away peacefully in his home, Friday, August 03, 2012. He was born September 12, 1932 to Thomas Julian and Beatrice “Anna” Weekes in Malad, Idaho. He was raised in St. John & Malad, Idaho. Graduated from Malad High School and attended Idaho State College. Dad served his country in France, during the Korean War. He married Wilorie Kay Dennis on June 24, 1957. She passed away June 06, 2005. Dad tinkered on the farm, from an early age, working on farm equipment, cars and such. He worked in Idaho Falls, Idaho at KIFI-TV while starting his new family and was later employed at Thiokol Corp in Promontory, Utah. A career with the Massey Ferguson dealership in Tremonton, Utah went on for 20+ years, an endeavor in which he was much in demand, both in Northern Utah and Southern Idaho. Continuing his service to the farming and ranching communities he eventually retired from Buttars Tractor. Even with retirement Dad’s work was not done. A faithful companion throughout their marriage, he took care of Mom during the years she needed him most. Ever the care taker of family, friends, neighbors and community, Dad, along with our sister, Ann, and family members, over saw the care of his sisters in their later years. With Dad’s work on earth done, our Father, moved on to his next task. Dad you’re proof, there is good in the world. Dad was preceded in death by his wife, parents, siblings and their spouses. Survived by his children Floyd (Cindy) Dennis, Tommy Dennis, Marvin Dennis and Ann Dennis, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Tremonton South Stake Center (1150 S. Tremont Street, Tremonton). Viewings will be held at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E., Tremonton) Wednesday from 6-8 PM and Thursday from 9:00-10:30 AM at the Church. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to McKay Dee Home Health Care, 3776 Wall Ave., So. Ogden, UT 84405, or a charity of your choice.
