Ronald Robert Vanfleet passed away on June 22, 2018 in Thousand Oaks, CA at the age of 88. Ron was the oldest and only son of Clifton “R” and Veda Larson Vanfleet of Garland, Utah. Ron was born in Garland, November 25, 1929. The Vanfleet family moved to Southern California during WWII where Ron stayed until retirement from NCR in the city of Paramount. Ron moved to Musselshell, MT to be close to friends and be able to hunt. Ron was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish, skin dive, spear fish, and hunt with rifles and bow and arrow. Ron served in the USMC during the Korean War and received a purple heart. Family and friends were very important to Ron and a big part of his life. He was known as a great friend and always willing to help those in need. Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Veda, and sisters, Mary and Joyce. Ron is survived by his sister Ruth, 12 nieces and nephews and their families.
