She was born October 23, 1923 in Oakley, Idaho to Phillip and Verla Boren Cummins. Rozine married Clarence Hurd on December 12, 1944 in Ogden, Utah. Clarence passed away on October 17, 1987.

Our mother loved to serve others, most of the time she drove the elderly women that she knew and loved. Her main enjoyment in life was driving or going to lunch on Thursdays, “Hair Day”. Rozine loved her family and friends. She also enjoyed crocheting hot pads, which we all enjoy. She was no stranger to hard work.

Rozine is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a visiting teacher for many years.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Kathleen and Lyle Steed, David and Karla Hurd, Rosemary and Paul Panasuk, JR and Dawn Hurd, Jan and Milton Edgerton. 20 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Rozine is preceded in death by Clarence Hurd, husband; Barbara Ann Hurd, daughter; Cody Tyler Barney, great-grandson; 2 brothers, 2 sisters; and Phillip and Verla Cummins, parents.

Funeral services will be held at the Curlew LDS Ward (75 N 100 E - Snowville) on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing prior from 9:30 - 10:30. A viewing will also be held on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home (111 N 100 E - Tremonton). Interment will be at the Snowville Cemetery.

The family would like to express special thanks to her loving sister Barbara Harris for her enduring love and care, Our House Hospice, IHC Staff and especially Mavis.
