Ruth Diane Rockwood Snow Ruth left this mortal existence and moved on to a new adventure Monday February 20, 2012. We will miss her hugs and her smiles. She was born April 13, 1931 in Brigham City, UT to William Eugene and Elizabeth Charlotte “Dolly” Rockwood. She grew up in Brigham and met her lifelong sweetheart Sam Snow. They were married on July 17, 1948. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple on February 18, 1964. Ruth was a wonderful artist. Her pictures hang in many homes in this valley. She also loved passing on her ability and shared her love of art with many people. She loved her horses and spent many hours with them. She was very active in the LDS church and held many positions. She loved to teach. For years she worked in the Family History Extraction program and loved researching her own family history. She loved her children and supported their many activities. Her grandchildren loved going to her house and eating her muffins fresh out of the oven. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sam Snow; son, Sam B. Snow and great-granddaughter, Madalyn Bell. She is survived by her sisters: Betty Marble, Brigham City, UT; Darla (Darwin) Bywater, Lynn, UT; children: Susan (Grant) Bell, Portage, UT; Debbie (Clint) Cooper, Newton, UT; Bill (Julie) Snow, Tremonton, UT; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday February 25, 2012 at the Portage LDS Chapel located in Portage, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral from 9:30 – 10:30 am also at the Portage Chapel. Interment will at the Portage Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Sunshine Terrace Wing 1 for all they have done for our Mom during the time she was there. They have been supportive and caring.
