Scott Leland Fitzgerald
"Fritz"
1957-2016
Scott kicked the bucket on June 13, 2016 after a day surrounded by family and friends who sat reminiscing about his life and enjoying some good ole country music.
Scott was born Easter Sunday April 21, 1957 in Salt Lake, the son of Leland A. and Helen S. Fitzgerald. From a young age he lived life on his own terms and kept it at full throttle. He had a sharp mind and learned very quickly, which was evident by his graduating from Jordan High School in 1975 without cracking a book. He had a big heart and made friends easily. He loved football, guns, planes and cars. He never missed NASCAR on Sundays.
Later be became a Brine Shrimper. Scott worked for GSL Brine Shrimp Co-op. He loaded and trucked their product. Coworkers knew no matter what broke down, Scott could fix it. He also loved hunting and guns and was an excellent shot.
On September 22, 1990 he married his "sweetie" Carma Lish. They were thrilled to have their one and only "miracle child," Chancey. Scott carried pictures of Carma and Chancey in his wallet everywhere he went.
He is survived by daughter Chancey, mother Helen Fitzgerald, siblings Rochelle Fitzgerald, Brett (Karren) Fitzgerald, Jacci (Garry) Ottosen, Russ (Sara) Fitzgerald.
He is preceded in death by wife Carma, father Lee Fitzgerald, grandparents Ward and Ila Stevens and Lee and Eva Fitzgerald
The family would like to thank the professionals and staff at Sunshine Care Center in Logan, Utah for the extraordinary care Scott received while there.
A private service will be held on Saturday, June 25th, 2016
