Scott Germer

September 9, 1950 - March 30, 2013

Deweyville- In the early morning hours of Saturday, March 30, 2013, our dear Husband, Father, grandfather, brother and friend, Jack Scott Germer passed from this life to the next, surrounded by his loving family.
Scott was born on September 9, 1950, in Brigham City, Utah to Jack Edwin Germer and Bernice Nichols Germer. He was the third of four children. He graduated from Bear River High School in 1968. He attended college at Utah State University.
Scott married hi sweetheart, Joyce Christensen in Tremonton, Utah on November 3, 1972. From this union came four children: LaDawn, Debbie, Tina, and Jeffery. His family was the most important thing to him, and always did anything he could to help and support them. He taught his children the importance of honesty, integrity and good work ethic by example.
He lived his entire life in Deweyville, working on the Germer family farm, a 5th generation farmer. He loved to be out working and keeping busy. The winter months were long ones for him, and he eagerly anticipated the spring and summer months when he could be out farming and working in the fields. He was an incredibly hard working person. He took great pride in his work and did everything to his greatest ability.
He enjoyed spending time with his loved ones, target shooting, hunting, being outdoors and going on little road trips with his family. He especially enjoyed spending time with his good friends.
He was an amazing grandpa and loved his grandkids so much. Nothing made him happier than being around them. He enjoyed taking them on four-wheeler rides and pulling them on sleds in the fields in back of the house. He always had a stash of treats for when the grandkids came over to visit.
We will all miss him dearly and look forward to the day when we can be together again.
Scott is survived by his loving wife, Joyce; three children : LaDawn Anderson, North Ogden; Tina (Jeremy) Hewlett, Perry; Jeff (Christine) Germer, Deweyville; six grandchildren :Riley, Brooks, Rachel, Mickell, Olivia and James; siblings: Colleen (Derrill) Richards, Salt Lake City; Deanne Hughes, Garland; Bonnie (Jim) Fronk, South Ogden.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Debbie and brother-in-law, Kent Hughes.
