Scott Edward Gurnsey

Scott Edward Gurnsey- 61 Tremonton, UT. Passed away October 17, 2023 with his wife and family by his side. Scott was born August 26, 1962 to Edward Phillip Gurnsey and Beverly Lucille Frueauf.  Scott attended Clearfield High School.  He married Jill Hansen and had 2 girls Melissa and Amanda. They later divorced. In 2004 Scott married the love of his life, Karla Christensen. Karla had 2 children and together they raised Colton and Sharlee.  In 2005 Scott was able to adopt Sharlee and it made him extremely happy. Scott had a lot of love and pride for his family. His grandkids were the highlight of his life. He loved the time he got to spend with them and had a special bond with each one. He was smart and hard working. Scott had a sense of humor like no other. He thought of himself as funny and witty, not sure we always agreed. Scott worked hard all his life. Scott was employed at Proctor & Gamble. 

 

Scott made many friends through the years. He had a special relationship with his brother Shawn. Shawn was a wonderful brother and his friendship meant the world to Scott.

 

Scott is survived by his wife Karla, children Melissa (Terrance) Lopshire, Amanda (Joe) Scott, Colton (Jessica) Perkins and Sharlee (Sage) Gordon. Grandchildren Hunter (18), Walker (16) and Bridger (14) Lopshire, Kaylin (11) and Ellie (10) Scott, Ryett (5) and Kache (14 months) Perkins, Rowdy (4) Raelynn (1.5) and Baby Ridger Scott Gordon (due Jan 2024). Siblings Mark (Ynez) Gurnsey, Shawn (Karen) Gurnsey, and Gina (John) Harms. Many nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and his best friend Mike Green. 

 

Cremation by Rudd Funeral Home in Tremonton. 

 

We will have a Celebration of Life Open House on Sunday November 5 from 12:00-4:00 PM at Raw-Ute Ranch 

3051 S. 5100 W. Hooper, UT 84315.
