Shane Harris

Shane Loyal Harris passed from this life into the next on May 22, 2016 in Tremonton, Utah.

Shane was born October 27, 1976 in Brigham City, Utah to Stephen Loyal and Diana Bessinger Harris.  He was raised in Portage, Utah.  He graduated from Bear River High School in 1994.    After graduation he attended Ricks College and served an LDS mission in Columbia.  He married Tara Kay Shock in the Logan Temple. They were blessed with four children.  They were later divorced.  Shane was employed by the IRS.

Shane was had a warm, endearing and funny personality.  He loved to put people at ease with his sense of humor. He loved spending time with his children and enjoying the outdoors.   We will miss his contagious laugh and smile.

Shane was preceded in death by his mother, Diana.  He is survived by his children: Stephen, Marci, Nicole and Joshua.  His father, Stephen Harris, Brigham City, UT.  His girlfriend, Sharyl Slade, Brigham City, UT.  His great grandmother, Dorothy Bessinger (Tremonton, UT).  Brothers:   Greg (Jenny) Corinne, UT; Wade (Jacqueline) Caldwell, ID;   Cody (Erin), Lewiston, ID.   Sisters:  Holly (David) Peterson, Twin Falls, ID and Heidi (Stan) Rathbone, Brigham City, UT.

A funeral service for Shane will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 12:00 Noon at the Portage LDS Chapel (8910 West 25800 North) with a viewing prior to the service from 11:00 – 11:45 a.m. at the church.  Interment will be in the Portage Cemetery.
