Sharon King

Sharon Oyler King, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend returned to her heavenly home on March 11, 2018, due to a tragic accident. She was born on January 27, 1941 in Long Beach, California to Howard J. Oyler and Orpha Wood.  The family moved to Garland, Utah where she was reared and graduated from Bear River High School. She married her sweetheart Merlyn H. King on October 18, 1963, in the Logan LDS Temple. They have been holding hands for 54 years.   They were blessed with 7 children; Jerald (Linda) King, Devin (Camille) King, Berkley (Trachelle) King, Bradley (Wendy) King, Dawneen (Dave) Marshall, Rachelle (Lex) Godfrey, Shari (Cody) Cutler; 30 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Sharon was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many ward and stake callings.  Sharon and Merlyn served an LDS service mission at the Ogden, Utah Cannery for two years.  Sharon loved the outdoors, camping, horses, gardening, canning, singing in Reflections, serving others, cooking and supporting her family.  She was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.

Sharon is survived by her spouse, children, siblings; Stacy (Joann) Oyler, LaMar (Brenda) Oyler, Marva (Mel) Kupfer, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Proceeded in death by her parents, and brother Kelly (Jan) Oyler and grandson Aundry.

Viewing will be held on Friday, March 16, 6-8 p.m. at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home, 111 N, 1st East Tremonton.  Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 17, 2018, at 11 a.m.  at the Fielding Stake Center, 4375 W 15600 N Fielding,  with a viewing from 9 – 10:30 a.m. prior to the funeral.  Burial services will follow at the East Garland Cemetery.
