Tremonton-Shawn Mitchell Anderson, 47, died Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at Ogden Regional Medical Center. He was born January 7, 1962, to Byron Anderson and Marian Carter Anderson. On July 9, 1983, Shawn married Nancy Palmer in Tremonton, Utah. They enjoyed each other’s love for more than 26 years. Shawn was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He worked at Nucor Steel from its inception until the time of his passing. Shawn loved his Nucor family. Shawn grew up in Garland, Utah, and attended Bear River High School where he wrestled and played football and baseball. He was known for his small frame and huge spirit. As he got older and his family grew, Shawn enjoyed coaching little league football, he loved watching his boys wrestle and play ball, and spending time with his family. He had many favorite pastimes, but Shawn will be especially remembered for his love of hunting and shooting at Yost, trips to Lake Powell, golfing with Nancy and snowmobiling with family and friends. Shawn enjoyed many vacations with his family. Surviving are Shawn’s wife, Nancy, his daughter Alicia (Mark) Porritt, and three sons, Michael, Cory and Connor, all of Tremonton. Also surviving are his mother, Marian Anderson; step-mother, Pat Anderson; and three brothers, Greg, Blair (Tamara), and Scott (Kay). Among family members welcoming Shawn to heaven are his father, Byron Anderson and his brother-in-law, Brad Palmer. Funeral services will be held at the Tremonton Stake Center 660 N 300 E Tuesday, August 4, at 11 a.m. Friends may call at the stake center, Monday, August 3, from 6-8 p.m., and Tuesday, from 9:45-10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, prior to the funeral.
