Shawn Jeffery Miller

Shawn Jeffery Miller (59) of Eagle Mountain Utah, passed away surrounded by his family December 20th 2024. He was born November 19th 1965 to Norman and Karen Miller of Fielding Utah. Growing up Shawn loved spending time with his brothers and buddies hunting. He loved riding his pony, thumper, to football practice. He loved riding horses through the roller coasters with all his siblings. He was great at creating mischief and a really fun time. He loved doing Christmas lights for his mom and loved her so much.

After serving an LDS Mission in Sydney Australia, he attended Brigham Young University. While on leave with a knee injury he ran into the love his life, Tresa Roche Miller at the Crossroads Diner. From that time forward, they have lived a beautiful love story.

Often you would find him cherishing his garden and flowers, riding his horse George, tinkering in his shop and doing the honey dos. Recently he found a love for competing in dog trials with his dog Cephis. They won some “major awards” and he was so proud of him.

He loved fishing and hunting with all his best buddies. He valiantly served in several church callings and coaching. He was most happy serving the youth and young men around him. He has a treasure trove of wonderful memories with all the young men he came across. He really had a way of making everyone in his presence feel loved.

He is immensely loved and cherished by all his grandkids. They refer to him as their best pal and snuggle buddy. They all loved vegging on the couch and eating “snicky snacks”. They could talk him into anything!

Tresa is his “Doll” and He was her sunshine and an eternal optimist. He prided himself by calling and pretending to be a teenager asking her on a date through all 36 years they were together here on earth. He really liked her a lot.

His children were his whole world. He provided an amazing childhood full of special experiences and memories they will all cherish forever. He was and is their biggest fan. He will be greatly missed by all those whose lives he has touched.

He is survived by his wife, Tresa Miller and children Tara (Jason) Jacklin, Luke (Jentry) Miller, Hailee (Kenny) Clark, Mark Miller, Demi (Keaton) Bryan, all 12 grandbabies and all his siblings and precious mother.

The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to all our forever friends and family and the Unified EMS team.

A viewing will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024 from 6-8 PM. A funeral will be held the next day on Saturday, December 28 at 1 PM with a viewing beforehand from 11-12:30 PM. All services will be held at Spring Run 1st ward chapel 3382 East Spring Mountain Drive, Eagle Mountain, Utah, 84005.

Services will be under the direction of Wing Mortuary in Lehi, Utah.
