Sherry Misrasi Schoenenberger

Sherry Misrasi Schoenenberger, a beloved member of her community, passed away on August 5, 2023, at the age of 84. Born on April 14, 1939, to George Melbourn Garbanati and Clara Naomi Neal, Sherry's journey through life was marked by love, resilience, and kindness.

 On June 26, 1959, in Snowville, Utah, Sherry married Lewis Misrasi. They shared many joyous years together until Lewis' passing on December 25, 1991. Sherry later found love again and married Neil Schoenenberger on October 6, 1999.

Throughout her life, Sherry resided in various places such as Snowville, Utah; Elwood, Utah; Malad, Idaho; and Morristown, Arizona. These locations held special memories for her and provided a backdrop for the chapters of her life.

Sherry's commitment to education led her to graduate from Bear River High School. She nurtured a lifelong passion for learning and embraced the opportunities that knowledge brought.

A remarkable woman with a green thumb and a culinary flair, Sherry found joy in gardening and cooking. Creating a warm and welcoming home was one of her greatest joys. Known for her kind personality and compassionate heart, she always greeted everyone she encountered with uplifting words.

Sherry will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughter Christy Zito; sons Douglas Misrasi and George Misrasi; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; sisters Geneal (Gary) White and Elona (Al) Hansen; brother Craig (Lola) Garbanati; as well as sister-in-law Debbie (Bernell) Garbanati.

She is preceded in death by her parents, as well as her brothers Todd and Bernell Garbanati.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at 11 A.M. at the Elwood Cemetery. Prior to the service, viewings will be conducted on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, from 6-8 P.M. and on the day of the graveside service from 9:30-10:30 A.M. at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N 100 E- Tremonton).
