Shirlee Blum

Shirlee Wilson Blum was set free from many years of suffering with Alzheimer's on December 8, 2018. She was surrounded by her family and the wonderful caregivers at the Bear River Valley Care Center.

Shirlee was born August 24, 1942 in Logan, Utah to Carrie and Dick Wilson, both of Cache Valley.  She married her best friend, Frank E. Blum, on October 4, 1964 in Tremonton and they had two wonderful children together.

She graduated from Bear River High School in 1960. She loved singing in the A Cappella choir and her time as the FHA President.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and held many different callings over the years, which she truly loved.

Shirlee liked all sports as long as they had a gas engine attached. You just had to love a woman that liked motorsports.

She worked several part time jobs in Tremonton that were more fun than work. She loved dealing with the public and making new friends. She always had a smile for everyone she met.  Gardening and homemaking were her passions and she excelled at both.

Shirlee is survived by her loving husband Frank, her children Dan (Lara) Blum and Beckie (Chip) Page; grandchildren Sadie (Scott) Soelberg, Sidney Page, and Justin Page; great grandchildren Lily, Zoe, and Zeke Soelberg; a brother Tommy (Linda) Wilson and sister Vickie (Bill) Baker.

Shirlee was preceded in death by her mother and father, Carrie and Dick Wilson, and her sister and brother-in-law, Dixie and Dee Ramsdell.

Shirlee was a resident of the Bear River Valley Care Center for almost five years. We are most grateful to all the people that cared for her over the years. We especially thank the CNAs that took care of her personal day to day care. They are angels on earth and there is a special place in heaven for them.

Funeral services for Shirlee will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Viewings will be held on Wednesday evening, December 12, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. and prior to the funeral service from 9:30- 10:30 a.m. All services will be held at the Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E.- Tremonton, UT). Interment in the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.
