GARLAND – Sinne V. Harper, 78, passed away on August 19, 2015 in Brigham City, Utah. She was born on April 17, 1937 in Mount Harris, Colorado to Joe and Juana Vasquez.
Sinne married Donald Coombs Harper in Elko, Nevada on November 9, 1956. They were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple on June 11, 1964. Donald passed away in June of 1991.
She was a wonderful homemaker and her biggest achievement in life is her 5 children and numerous grandchildren. She enjoyed embroidery, gardening and making tamales. Sinne was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had many callings, but her favorite calling was serving as the nursery leader, she also enjoyed taking care of the widows and loved her Relief Society teachers.
Sinne is survived by her 5 children, Tom (Sherri) Harper, Mike (Kathy) Harper, Bobby Harper, Joe (Nikki) Harper, Betty (Todd) Andersen; 2 Sisters, Mary Matlock and Helen Chavon; 20 grandchildren; and 31 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Harper; 1 sister and 5 brothers.
Funeral Services for Sinne will be held on Monday, August 24, 2015 at the Garland 4th Ward LDS Chapel (175 S. Main – Garland, UT) at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing prior to the service from 9:30 – 10:30 at the church. There will also be a viewing on Sunday evening from 6-8 pm at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E. – Tremonton, UT). Burial will follow the services in the Garland Cemetery.
