Sterling Hudman

March 28, 1930 — July 27, 2013


Sterling Marvin Hudman, age 83 passed away 27 July 2013 in Pocatello, Idaho. He was born 28 March 1930 in Idaho Falls, Idaho a son of Arthur and Sarah Ann Holley Hudman. At the age of 8, he went to live with his Uncle Ted (Lewis Edmond) Holley. On 11 July 1947, he married Luella Smith in Malad, Idaho. They were later divorced. He was a farm mechanic most of his life. He has lived in Idaho, Utah, Nevada and Nebraska.
He is the father of nine children: Marvin (Joleen) of Wamsutter, Wyoming, Judy (Dale) Collom of Tremonton, Preston (Debbie) of Harrisville, Diana (Blake) Poppleton of Tremonton, June (Ross) Phillips of Tremonton, Tina (Paul) Fulgham of Tremonton, Clifton (Gayla) of Harrisville, Phillip (Katie) of Centerville, and Shane (deceased). He is also survived by his brother, Larry (Beverly) Hudman of Coltman, Idaho. He leaves behind 32 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.
He is preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, 3 sisters, his son Shane, two grandsons and one great grandson.
A short memorial service will be held 3 August 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Riverview Cemetery in Tremonton, Utah.
Going with Dad’s wishes, his body was donated to science for research of Arthritis.
