Steve L. Grover, age 87, peacefully passed away at his home in East Garland, Utah, on April 27, 2025. He was born on July 2, 1937, in East Garland to Fredrick Miles Grover and LaVona Anna Christensen.
On June 11, 1956, Steve married Barbara Shaffer Grover in East Garland, beginning a lifelong partnership filled with love and dedication. Throughout his life, Steve lived in various places, including Palmer, Alaska; Tremonton, Utah and then settling in East Garland.
A graduate of Bear River High School, Steve went on to build a successful career. He owned and operated Steve L. Grover and Sons Construction Company, and later, he drove his own truck, hauling cows and grain. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to engage in farming and a variety of jobs that allowed him to connect with others. Known for enjoying long conversations and meeting new people, Steve dedicated himself to his work until his health no longer permitted it. He also worked for various farmers, including Garns, Stokes, Mannings, and Fowers, where he ran equipment and cherished the camaraderie he found.
Steve was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in the bishopric of East Garland and was a member of the High Council, finding great joy in serving others and contributing to his community.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara, and their children: Clair (Shirley), Craig (Pam), Karen Jones, Julie (Richard) Bott, Russell Grover, Daron Grover & Partner Jess Dolce, and Shane (Patti) Grover. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his 19 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, five great great-grandchildren, and one more great-great-grandchild on the way. He is also survived by his sisters, Marie Korth and Flo Loveland.
Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and LaVona Grover; siblings Wayne Grover and Bud Grover; and granddaughter Bobbie Jo Grover.
A graveside service celebrating Steve's life will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025, at 11 A.M. at the East Garland Cemetery. A viewing will take place prior to the service from 9-10 A.M. at Rudd Funeral Home in Tremonton (111 N 100 E - Tremonton).
The family extends special gratitude to PrimRose Hospice for their exceptional care and patience during this time. Steve will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
