Tremonton-Our loving husband, father, and brother passed away peacefully on January 31, 2011 at his home. Steve was born April 24, 1942 in Mc Gill Nevada to Malin and Marvel Smith. He married his eternal mate Rebecca Moon on July 29, 1966 in the Salt Lake Temple. They have two sons: Steve Veron(Marilyn) of Johnstown , New York and Slade Malin (Clair) of Beaver, Utah. Steven served a full time mission in Australia. He graduated from Utah State University with a bachelor degree in teaching. He worked as a special education teacher. He served as a temple worker in the Logan temple. Steve held numerous callings in the L.D.S. Church. Steven enjoyed painting, family history, playing the piano and camping. Steven is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, sons; grandchildren: Christopher, NY, Kenneth (Aleigh), Beaver, UT, Daniel Salt lake City, UT, Katie, Tremonton, UT, Steven, Beaver, UT. Great Grandchildren: Conner, Colby, Kelin, Kenzley, and Beau. Brother Gordon (Sharon) ID, and sister Joanne Trone of Salt Lake City. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Kent, and grandparents. The family would like to thank the hospice nurses: Carol and Mavis. Viewings will be held Monday, February 7, from 6-8 pm at Rudd Funeral Home, 1234 South Main Garland, UT and on Tuesday, February 8, from 9:30-10:30 am at the church prior to the funeral. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, February 8, 2011 at the Tremonton West Stake Center, 345 South 1000 West, Tremonton, UT. Interment will be held at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, 600 North 100 West Pleasnt Grove, Utah. Condolences may be made at www.ruddfuneralhome.com.
