Teresa Martinez
March 22, 1924 — February 6, 2016
Teresa Garcia Martinez, 91 passed away at her home surrounded by her loving children on Saturday, February 6, 2016. She was born March 22, 1924 in Saltillo Coahuila, Mexico, daughter of Isidoro and Petra Garcia. She was a devoted wife to the love of her life Mariano Alvarado Martinez. Teresa was a farm laborer and a homemaker. She lived and worked in Texas, Utah and Arizona where she was residing at the time of her death. Teresa was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her passions included knitting, gardening, dancing, spending quality time with her entire family and enjoying other recreational activities. Survivors include her sons: Julio, Reyes, Simon, Mariano Jr., and Jose Angel. Her daughters: Manuela, Maria, Teresa, Refugia (Cuca), Rosemary, Kathy and Yolanda, 45 grandchildren, 99 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother.
A rosary service will be held from 6-7 p.m., Thursday February 11, 2016 at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E., Tremonton, UT) with viewing following from 7-8 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 12, 2016 at Santa Anna's Catholic Church (760 W. 600 N., Tremonton, UT). Interment will be in the Elwood Cemetery.
