The Most Beloved Man
Than Bun Kov left us on May 9, 2015 with family members by his side at Ogden Regional Medical Center.
Than was born December 2, 1955, in Cambodia to Pang Kov and Phol Chum. He married his beloved wife, Neang, and had his first son, Thai, before immigrating to the United States of America in April of 1984. With nothing but the clothes on their backs and a small tote bag in hand, Than settled his family in the Chinatown district of Los Angeles, California. There he had his second child, Nai, and eventually his third, David, in Fresno, California. Than lived in a few cities in California: Chinatown, South Central, Fresno, and North Hills. Eventually he found his final home in Garland, Utah.
Than was known to family as the man with the gavel, but with the sweetest heart to understand everyone’s issues. To co-workers he was known as the hardest worker on the production line, yet never one to complain about a single thing. To friends he was known as a brother they could always turn to for words of wisdom or acceptance of their mishaps. On his free time he enjoyed surrounding himself with family and friends. Recently he found himself to be the happiest man in the world with his two grandchildren, Sophia, 3 ½ and Brian, 2.
Than Bun Kov is survived by his wife, Neang Kov, and children Thai Kov, Nai Kov Dien, and David Kov.
