Elwood, UT - Theodore K Elmer passed away on September 22, 2013 surrounded by his family. Ted was born on January 21, 1930 in Park City, UT to Theodore and Anne Marie Kershaw Elmer. He married Laura Wilson on August 15, 1955 in the Salt Lake Temple.
Ted proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict in the Air Force. He worked as an Industrial Engineer in the Aerospace industry. Ted was active in the LDS Church where he has served in many callings including several Bishoprics as Executive Secretary, Ward Clerk, a Logan Temple Officiator and a Family History specialist.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Willis Elmer and daughter Christine Elmer.
Ted is survived by his wife, Laura, and children: Brett(DiAnna) Elmer, Eagar, AZ; W. Ted(Janet)Elmer, Evanston, WY; Adrian Elmer, Tremonton, UT; Leland(Jana) Elmer, West Valley City, UT; LeaAnne(Rulon) Jensen, Fairbanks, AK; Richard(Mary Jo) Elmer, Pleasant View, UT; Clinton(RaKel) Elmer, North Ogden, UT; Jonathan(Julee) Elmer, West Jordan, UT; Sidney Elmer, Livermore, CA; Renee(Dave) Charbonneau, Pleasant Grove, UT; and siblings: George H.(Joyce) Elmer, Delos I.(Leslie) Elmer, Rada(Boyce) Morton, Reva Bain, 39 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday September 28, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Tremonton 2nd/5th Ward Building (300 South Tremont St.). Viewings will be held Friday September 27, 2013 from 6-8:00 pm at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home (111 N 100 E) and prior to the funeral from 9:30-10:30 at the church. Interment will be at the Porterville, UT Cemetery.
