Thomas Lee Huddleston

October 1, 1939 — September 27, 2023

Thomas Lee Huddleston, 84, completed his earthly journey September 27, 2023 in Tremonton Utah.  Thomas was born October 1, 1939, in Portland OR, the third son of Charles Richard and Beverly Plopper Huddleston.  After graduating from Cleveland High School, he moved to Seattle Washington and trained at Boeing.   The next several years were spent studying piping, mechanical design and drafting in Washington, Oregon, and Utah.  Thomas went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts Degree and worked with various engineering firms, including Thiokol and Ford, Bacon and Davis in Salt Lake City, retiring in 2003. He had a love of learning and throughout his life he took classes in Genealogy Research, Computer Science, Mandarin Chinese and Hebrew.

While attending an LDS fireside in Salt Lake City, Thomas met his eternal companion Susan. They were married November 22, 1974 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.  The family settled in Taylorsville where Tom, Susan and children worked together doing home remodeling and yard beautification where they lived until 2020.

Tom and Susan enjoyed working on genealogy, camping, riding bikes, trying new projects in their yard and traveling. One of their highlight trips was to Europe to see where Susan was born.  Some of Tom's hobbies included martial arts, bike riding, and fishing. He had an eye for photography and you could always find him tinkering in the garage.

Thomas was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he was a high priest.  He served in many callings in the church with his favorite being at the Family History Library in Salt Lake.  He had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ and shared that love with his family and others.  Tom said the most important things in his life were marrying Susan and becoming a father to each of his nine children.

Thomas is survived by: his wife Susan Mary Hicks Huddleston; his eight children Richard Huddleston, Jennifer Giroux, Dani (Leland) Palmer, Vicki Huddleston, Bryan (Lassen) Huddleston, Christina (Kevin) Guidry, Stephanie (Alan) McIntosh-Parker, Christopher (Alba) Huddleston; 26 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; brother Richard; Father-in-law, and many sisters and brothers in law.
