Vera Moss Taylor passed away peacefully in her Denver Colorado home August 27th, 2024. A dear friend and great grand niece was by her side. She was 93.
Vera was born on November 23, 1930 to Olive Pearl Boulton and Calvin W Moss in Highland/American Fork Utah.
She moved with her family to Fielding, Utah while still a baby and spent her youth in Fielding and Garland, graduating from Bear River High School.
Vera was the baby of the family of four children by a span of ten years. Her father died when she was 15.
She married Elmer Perkins (aka Tug) Taylor of Dayton, Idaho on July 3, 1947, in Elko, NV. After 52 years of marriage he died in 1998.
Vera had a vibrant personality with a delightful sense of humor. She was a gifted writer, receiving royalties from Hallmark for greeting card poetry up until her death! She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was beloved by many in her church and community for her kindness and generous support. In her later years she worked for 20+ years at Beehive Clothing near the temple in Denver, Vera loved her time there.
She is survived by a son Brent Taylor. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Pearl Rhodes, Gladys Roundy Bishop, Calvin Keith Moss.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, September 18th at 11 am at the Dayton Cemetery, Dayton, ID. Burial will be next to her husband “Tug”. Arrangements under the direction of Rudd Funeral Home Tremonton, UT.
