Elwood- Vernal William Bronson, born in Brigham City, UT on January 19, 1941 passed away on February 13, 2014.
Dad grew up on the Bronson wildlife zoo as a youngster in Elwood, UT, having a close connection to all different types of Animals. Dad enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and raising horses, shoeing, breaking and just plain riding them.
Dad was a quiet man liking to keep to himself with a great big heart. He liked to help others especially if they appreciated it.
In 1961 Dad went to basic training for the army and later served as a medic with American troops in Korea during the Vietnam War. Upon returning from his service Dad married Linda May Walters on June 14, 1973.
He then worked construction for some time and then Hill Air Force base for many years and retiring in 2006.
He is survived by his daughter Christina Lynn Bronson, Son-in-law Matthew Steinlicht of Box Elder County, Step-Daughter Sheree Jones. Three step granddaughters Felisha Jones, Brigham Veronica Grover, Garland and Amanda Ortiz, Vernal. Siblings Carol Ann Woodruff (Ivan Lee), their seven children & one deceased of Brigham City. Charlene June Bronson (Karl W. Spoerl, deceased) their seven children and Doneral Clinton Bronson (Arlene Wood) & their three children of Corrine, UT.
Vern was preceded in death by his wife Linda May Walters Bronson and his parents Annie Elnore Egbert & Clinton Ulysses Bronson.
A memorial service for Vern will be held Thursday February 20, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E.) There will be a visitation held from 12:15 – 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
