Snowville, UT – Vicente Salazar, 16, passed away Friday, July 9, 2010 due to complications with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. He was born May 1, 1994 in Burley, ID to Rosalia Garcia and Juan Salazar. He enjoyed X-Box video games, cars (his favorite car was Bumblebee), snowmobiling and ranger adventure rides. He watched every game of the Soccer Worldcup. He had a desire to become a mechanical engineer. He enjoyed family activities, working on the farm with his brother and riding on the tractors. He loved playing with children, especially his nieces and nephews. Surviving is his mother, Rosalia Garcia, and siblings: Maria Guadalupe Salazar, Sanjuana Salazar, Ulises Salazar, Karla Salazar, Rosa Salazar and Maria Ines Salazar. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Vicente Guadalupe and cousin, Karla Marina Martinez. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Curlew Ward LDS Chapel, 75 North 100 East, Snowville with Bishop Tim Munns conducting. The family wishes to thank the Bear River Valley Hospital, Primary Children’s Medical Center and the Snowville EMT’s for all of the care that was given to Vicente.
