Victor Wallace Jorgensen, Jr., age 79, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2013 at home in North Logan, Utah, in the arms of his loving wife and surrounded by family. Victor was born May 24, 1933 in Boise, Idaho to Victor Jorgensen and Juanita Blackmer. He graduated from high school in Boise, and attended BYU where he was a member of the ROTC chorus. He served a 2 1/2 year mission for the LDS church in Denmark, and then attended Utah State University, graduating in Mechanical Engineering. He worked as an engineer in Illinois, California, Arizona, Delaware, New York, Idaho, Alabama and Sweden. For the last 35 years, he resided in Logan, and retired from Thiokol in 2009. He was honored by NASA with a Lifetime Achievement award for his design contributions to the USA space program. Victor married his sweetheart, Susan Jorgensen, on August 15th, 1987. He is survived by his wife, Susan Eldredge; his sister: MarGreta Jorgensen, children: Cheri (David) Meiners, Victor Jorgensen III, Robert Jorgensen, Erik Jorgensen, Christopher Connell, David Connell, Edward Connell, Eric (Kimi) Endter, Daniel Endter, and James (Cindi) Endter. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Victor was preceded in death by his parents, his brother David Jorgensen, and his sister Marilyn and brother Victor, who both died in infancy. Victor loved playing chess, reading & writing, camping & backpacking, and international travel. Family will greet friends and family at a viewing to be held at the LDS chapel at 1650 E. 2600 N., North Logan, Utah
on Wednesday, May 8, from 11am to 12pm. Graveside services will follow at 12:30pm at North Logan Memorial Park located at 2250 E 2500 N in North Logan.
