Viola Fox of Grass Valley passed away Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, in Grass Valley, CA. She was 87. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at 12 Noon at the Plymouth Cemetery in Plymouth, UT. With a viewing starting at 11:00 a.m. at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home in Tremonton, UT. A memorial will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 615 Hollow Way, Nevada City, Calif. Mrs. Fox was born March 17, 1925, in Plymouth, Utah to John Franklin and Anges (Rudd) Archibald. She married Lawrence Harold Fox Jr. May 29, 1943, in National City, Calif. She worked as an airplane factory manager and also a dietary assistant at Spring Hill Manor Convalescent Hospital for 25 years. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed quilting “Grandma Fox quilts” are cherished and distributed all around the world. She also enjoyed gardening, poetry, family history and canning. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Art Davidson of Grass Valley, Susie and Mark Chatt of Sedro Woolley, Wash., Paula and Mike Clark of Burien, Wash., and Shirley and Steve Williams of Grass Valley; son and daughter-in-law Ray and Janis Fox of Penn Valley; and daughter-in-law Mary Fox of Deer Lodge, Mont.; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Harold Fox Jr., in 1997; and son James Fox in 2011.
