Wayne Norr

Wayne D. Norr, 92 passed away peacefully, Thursday, May 3, 2012. Wayne was born February 6, 1920 in Deweyville, UT. He was the third child of Alvin and Lydia Dewey Norr. Wayne grew up in Deweyville and later graduated from Bear River High School. After graduation he served in the United States Army in World War II. Upon return he met and married Minnie Mae Potter on March 6, 1946. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on September 15, 1949. They were married for 58 years when his beloved Minnie passed away. Wayne worked for the Defense Department in Ogden UT. After retirement he continued to work for enjoyment at the Garland Sugar Factory, John Laws Pipe Yard, and Tremonton Heating and Cooling. He also spent many years sawing wood projects, gardening, camping, and fishing with his sweetheart, family, and friends which brought him so much joy. Wayne was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully. He is survived by his son, Bill P Norr (Sheryl) Las Vegas, NV, Five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two brothers and one sister, JD (Fay) Norr of Deweyville, Reed (Darlene) Norr of Tremonton, and One sister, Cleo Dixon of Brigham City. He was preceded in death by His sweetheart, Minnie, Son, Brent D, and brothers: Myrl and Charles Norr. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday May 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Deweyville/Riverview LDS Chapel located at 10750 North Highway 69, Deweyville. Friends and family may call on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:45 at the church prior to the funeral. We would like to express a special thank you to Our House and their wonderful staff, Daneel Norr, and Reed Norr for their great love and care they have given to Pop over the years. Interment will be held at the Deweyville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Missionary fund.
